Headings and subheadings differ only in their relative on-screen size, sub-headings being displayed in a smaller font to headings.
When using Manual Navigation, headings and subheadings can be included in the navigation bar and used as links to sections of the current page.
To add one of these elements: - Choose the appropriate one from the drop down list of items to insert.
- Click the Add Item button to display the heading Edit item screen.
- If you need to change the type of element for this information, choose the new one from the drop down list. For example if you have changed your mind since adding it.
- Enter the text into the "Heading box". Try and keep the heading brief but informative.
- You may to check to check your spelling by selecting click here to check spelling.
- Select the alignment of the text you require - the default is left. Remember that the alignment applies within the area containing the element not the whole page.
- If required, you are here able to modify the Font, Size and Colour of the heading.
- Leave the "Make this heading a link to" box unaltered to keep the heading as normal text.
- The Site Editor automatically maintains a list of current pages plus all the headings and sub-headings you have created. This provides a source of destinations you can use to create links to.
- Highlight the appropriate page or heading (listed as a "part" within a page) from the drop down list to select it.
- If you wish to make the heading a link to another page or section of your site select the link's destination from the "Make this heading a link to" drop down box.
Click the Store Changes button to save and return to the updated Page Editor screen. |
