Before files can be inserted into pages you need to have first uploaded them to the site editor. Details of how to do this are given on the Uploading Files page.

• Select the "Link to file" element from the drop down list and click the Add Item button. The screen then updates to show the File Edit item window.
    
• The "file to link to" box contains the names of all the files uploaded to the site editor for this site. From this list choose the file to be linked to.
    
• "Link Text" is asking you what will be the link, so a quick sentence describing the file will be needed.
    
• Select how the file will be aligned horizontally. The default setting is left.
    
• Select whether or not you wish the file to be shown as an icon.
    
• Select if the file size is to be shown next to the link. 

Click the Store Changes button to add the new image element to the page and return to the Page Editor screen.
